SHREVEPORT, LA — The 抖阴短视频 Brass Ensemble, a group featuring students, faculty, and 抖阴短视频 alumni, will present its spring concert Monday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the College's Anderson Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
"The 抖阴短视频 Brass Ensemble continues 抖阴短视频's long tradition of instrumental music and is dedicated to performing quality wind music without a conductor," says Tom Hundemer, lecturer in music at 抖阴短视频's Hurley School of Music and director of the ensemble. "The group's unique mix of students, faculty, and alumni provides a professional environment and free coaching opportunities with 抖阴短视频's professional musician music faculty."
The April 18 concert program includes the "Triumphal March" from Verdi's Aida, Dvorak's A Day of Joy, Harold Walters' Pizza Party, and English Elizabethan composer William Byrd's The Earl of Oxford March. The lineup also includes two pieces featuring 抖阴短视频 student percussionist Colleen Durnin: Invisible Horse by Jukka Viitasaari and Brazil by Ary Barroso.
The 抖阴短视频 Brass Ensemble typically schedules at least four performances per year and will conclude its 2015-2016 season at the 抖阴短视频 graduation on Saturday, April 30.
